Are companies hiring or surveying?

This is called data mining. It is true that some company want to survey candidates. This data can be used to feed AI or they can sell this information.

Although this is legally not a scam, it is dishonest. If a recruiter sends you a questionnaire that takes more than 5 minutes to complete, refuse it.

Don't waste your time. Time is money and so is information.

If companies wish to survey people they should pay for it.

Are recruiters being dishonest?

Recruiters who reach out to you first then never reach back are recruiters who want to appear to be busy and have a bullpen. This happens often with temp agencies. Having many candidates boosts up their "pro cred" to their clients. It doesnt matter if you are qualified or not. They want numbers.

Lets cut them off at the pass. You deserve better.

Protecting your personal data

Your name and address is all anyone needs to pull your social and personal information off skip tracing sites. When responding to a post you should not provide an address. Remove it from your resume, companies should hire you on experience.  Do not share personal information electronically until an offer is made.
